AS TAUGHT AND LEARNED IN THE USSR / RUSSIA GEOPHYSICISTS TO SEARCH OIL AND GAS FIELD

In the thirties of the 20th century one of the geophysical methods for studying the Earth’s interior – thanks to the success of seismic prospecting for oil and gas comes to the forefront of exploration geophysics. In this regard, in our country there is a need to train geoscientists in the field of seismic exploration. As the first national high school textbook used in seismic monograph of prof. P. T. Sokolov. In view of the historical features of engineering training in Russia is based on a high theoretical level of teaching. Therefore, even the first textbooks on seismic calculated on a fairly thorough study a wide range of issues of theory, methodology and technology of this method. This paper examines the main stages in the creation of national textbooks on seismic data, commented on the content of all the official textbooks.
